Discovering the Path to Perfection: Our Mission to Build an Unparalleled Lead Generation Service

Cartoon man climbing higher toward a marketing target

On a grand quest, we strove to build the best lead generation service. We were on a mission, firing off emails left, right, and center to managers and C-level executives. We tried different approaches, hoping to uncover the secret sauce that makes them spring into action.

Through our journey, we gained a wealth of knowledge, but above all, we cracked the code on the perfect processes and styles for crafting cold emails that busy C-levels at $100M+ ARR companies can’t resist replying to.

Make no mistake: Mastering the art and science of captivating esteemed professionals like Technology VPs, Founders, Chief Compliance Officers, and CEOs through cold messages has been an uphill battle. It demanded an extensive investment of time—a journey filled with determination. However, our dedication has paid off because now, after sending 300K+ cold emails and over 10,200 LinkedIn messages, we’ve uncovered the secrets to capturing the attention of B2B prospects and eliciting responses like these:

Positive B2B cold email response

Over the past 6 months, Bold Red X generated 2,159 sales-qualified B2B leads for our clients.

We take immense pride in our achievement because, at Bold Red X, we make a bold promise to our partners: “30 leads in 30 days”. Generating 2,000+ B2B leads within a span of 6 months affirms that we have consistently delivered on our commitment.

Consistently testing and improving our emails has led us to develop a foolproof strategy that allowed us to get:

  • Multiple $10,000+ clients for Bold Red X.
  • $280K in closed business deals generated for a software development agency with one campaign.
  • Multiple guest blogging placements for our clients on blogs like Techcrunch, Nerdwallet, Hubspot, and Unbounce.
  • Multiple Fortune 500 deals for our clients with companies like Uber, Best Buy, Netflix, and Equinix.
  • +25 qualified leads for a SaaS startup in 10 days.
  • Taking a freelance web developer’s monthly revenue from $4K to $12K.

Here, we delve into the factors that set our cold email marketing agency apart from the rest of the market.

The Hidden Truth: Why Most Cold Email Agencies Fail to Deliver

It’s no secret that B2B lead gen agencies often fall short of their customers’ expectations, causing major letdowns all around. But, why? We decided to dig deeper and uncover the root of the problem. Here’s how our research journey began:

  • Talking with clients who had prior experience with other lead generation agencies.
  • Manually inspecting 200+ competitors.
  • Reviewing various industry reports and studies.

After a rigorous research journey, we’ve identified five major problems that are prevalent in the market.

  1. Targeting
  2. Reporting
  3. Personalization
  4. Tacky Sales Pitches
  5. Long Contracts

Now, let’s delve into each problem, uncover the root cause and discover effective solutions. Get ready to tackle these challenges head-on!

Problem #1: Targeting

When it comes to B2B lead generation, poor targeting is the ultimate outbound campaign killer. You don’t want to waste your time chasing prospects who don’t even need what you’re offering, don’t have the budget, or lack the purchasing power. That’s a recipe for disaster.

Unfortunately, most B2B lead gen agencies prioritize quantity over quality. They treat cold emailing as if it’s a mere game of chance – spamming countless inboxes with the hopes that something will eventually land. But let’s face it, that approach is about as effective as throwing darts blindfolded.

Sure, Most agencies will ask you about your ideal customer, and that’s a good starting point, but it’s not enough. To get the best results, we need to get way more specific than just “CEOs in the fintech space.” Details are crucial and using this minimal level of targeting is often the reason why most cold-email campaigns fail.

According to a recent Drift research, the average response rate for cold emails currently stands at 1%, while the open rate typically hovers around 10%.
A chart representing average cold email open rates and response rates

At Bold Red X we don’t settle for 10% or even 20% open rates. We push for 80% or more, while also aiming for a 20%+ response rate. The gap is huge!

So, what are we doing differently?

Success favors the specific. To minimize failure, get hyper-specific about the unique qualities that make a lead a perfect match for your business.

So, what should those agencies be asking? Buckle up, ’cause it’s time to get obsessive with the prospecting. If you want to hit the bullseye with your target audience and dodge the mismatches, here are some questions that companies should be asking:

  1. What kind of fintech company? (Are they P2P, B2B or B2C? Are they a Digital Bank? an Investing Platform? Are they into Crypto? Blockchain? Lending?)
  2. What’s the size of the company? (Are we talking about a place with 500 employees or more? 1 billion+ in annual revenue? Fortune 500? Newly funded Startups?)
  3. What services do they offer? (Insurtech? Crowd Funding? Mobile Banking? Budgeting?)
  4. What’s their location? (USA? Western Europe? 400 miles from Miami, Florida?)
  5. What departments/employees do they currently have/not have on payroll? (BDRs, SEO, Marketing, CNO, Social Media?)

The more we know, the better we can target.

Obsessive prospecting is our secret sauce at Bold Red X. We leave no detail unexplored in our quest to find your IDEAL target prospects.

Our approach is data-driven and precise. We meticulously analyze your existing customer base, leveraging 40+ business attributes and signals, to unveil valuable buying patterns and identify potential customers who not only match your target customer but are also highly likely to need your offerings.

To offer you a comprehensive view, here are a few more account filters we factor in while curating our list of target accounts:
  • Hiring (show me companies hiring web developers)
  • Date of funding (show me Artificial Intelligence companies with recent series A funding)
  • Amount of funding (show me companies who raised $10M+)
  • Marketing data/activity (paying for ads, amount of traffic/month, social media presence)
  • Industry (Healthcare, Enterprise Software, Fintech, Education)
  • Community (in the “Silicon Valley Venture Community” group on LinkedIn?)
  • Founded year (show me companies launched in 2000-2010)
  • Revenue (show me companies with an ARR of $100M-$150M)
  • Intent data (I want companies looking for conversion rate optimization)
  • Technologies (they use Hubspot, WordPress, the Bootstrap framework, etc)
  • Keywords (they must mention “Product Development” on their homepage)
  • Local (newly opened gyms in Miami, Florida?)
  • Headcount growth (show me companies with a 10%-25% headcount growth in the past 3 months)
  • Services provided (they offer SEO or staff augmentation)
  • Retail locations (show me companies with 30+ retail locations in the UK)
  • Web feature (is mobile friendly or offers live chat)
  • Languages (their website supports French and/or German)
  • Events (did they attend the last International Cyber Expo?)
  • Number of employees in a specific department (show me companies with 100+ sales employees)

Finding ideal prospects requires time and proper research that goes way beyond “CEOs in the fintech space”.

Now comes the burning question: Out of the 40 filters, How can you determine the optimal combination of filters to utilize?

It’s all about analyzing your current clients and finding similar patterns. Are they in the same industry? Same location? Maybe they all use WordPress, generate $10M-$15M in annual revenue, or have no in-house web developer.

At Bold Red X, we put on our detective hats and magnifying glasses, meticulously dissecting and analyzing every facet of your ideal target. Armed with this knowledge, our outreach campaigns become a well-oiled lead-generating machine, guaranteed to bring you 30 Leads in 30 Days.

It’s truly amazing what you can accomplish with proper targeting, you can make the most obscure pitches to the most specific industries. For example, a while ago we were doing lead generation for an event management startup, an industry heavily reliant on individuals who organize large-scale events. However, identifying these professionals was far from easy, as there was no existing database of event organizers at the time.

To kickstart our lead generation process, we focused on building a lead pool. Our approach involved creating a list of the top events, which we then narrowed down to those specifically held in New York City, where our client was located. We then worked our way backward from that list to find the names of the organizers, and then their contact details. Only then were we able to email these people and start booking meetings.

The great thing about contacting people in niche industries is that no one else can identify them either! So they don’t get bothered very much! In many ways, targeting niche and very specific industries is better, as they simply receive considerably fewer messages.

By carefully considering all the filters and categories outlined, we identify commonalities that help us precisely target the right prospects. Our approach is built on data analysis, pattern recognition, and leveraging what has already proven effective. However, even the most sophisticated targeting strategies can be undermined by a critical factor: the quality of the data itself.

Another common issue among other lead generation agencies is their use of inadequate data providers to find prospects' information.

While our focus is on precision and accuracy, many agencies prioritize cost over quality, opting for cheap data providers that offer large databases of contact details. They see the opportunity to access massive data at a fraction of the cost, and their eyes light up with visions of substantial savings. But in their quest for affordability, they often overlook the detrimental consequences that accompany such a choice.

The data obtained through cheap tools like RocketReach, Seamless AI, and Lusha is often unreliable. While these tools allow you to easily find the contact information of any lead, the problem lies in their usage of the LinkedIn Sales Navigator database.

Now, why is this a bad thing?

Well…

It all comes down to LinkedIn’s industry filter, which has a notorious reputation for being inaccurate. Let’s say you’re searching for CMOs in the SaaS industry. If you solely rely on LinkedIn’s industry filter, you’ll hit a wall. The problem lies in the fact that LinkedIn’s industry categories are chosen by users and can be all over the map. For example, a company like Lusha, a sales intelligence software, could list its industry as “Information Services,” “Technology, Information, and Internet,” or even “Software Development.”

So, we advise you to avoid using LinkedIn’s industry filter to find your target prospects until you’ve created a well-researched list of the companies you should be targeting based on reliable data. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a pool of prospects who are completely wrong for your needs.

As you can see, getting specific is crucial. To effectively target your client’s audience, it is essential to delve into specifics and determine precisely who they are aiming to attract. But how do you actually do it?

Targeting done right: making every shot count.

Partnering with an outbound agency is all well and good, but do they have the required arsenal of tools to help you build an ultra-targeted list of prospects?

At Bold Red X, we pay top dollar for data tools such as Crunchbase, Zoominfo, and Bombora. These tools help us identify the most relevant companies to target. With advanced filtering and analysis tools, we can quickly find data on prospects and set up company alerts, all of which add up to a highly effective prospecting approach.

What sets CrunchBase apart from other prospecting tools? Well, we believe it’s their commitment to correct industry mapping. The same can’t be said for Sales Navigator’s industry filter, which is probably the worst way to find companies.

On the other hand, if you’re interested in outbound sales with the best intent data, then ZoomInfo is the prospecting tool to use. With this powerful tool, you can see which companies are actively searching for the exact products/services you’re selling.

So, before you choose an outbound agency to work with, make sure they’re utilizing various tools and platforms. If they’re not utilizing cutting-edge technology, it should raise a red flag. Trust us, we know. We spend thousands of dollars a month to provide our clients with the best possible lead gen results.

Problem #2: Reporting

As a business owner or marketing executive, you deserve to work with lead gen agencies that understand the metrics that matter for your business. Unfortunately, most agencies simply report on the open rate and click-through rate, rather than the outcomes that truly make an impact.

The challenge with cold emails lies in enticing your prospects to open them, as this is a critical aspect of any campaign. However, the open rate only measures how many emails have actually been opened, and it tells you very little about the actual outcome of your marketing efforts.

Think about it like content marketing: generating traffic is one thing, but converting that traffic into leads and sales is another matter entirely.

Metrics Matter!

At Bold Red X, we believe that cold outreach should be all about generating quality leads and growing your company. That’s why we don’t just settle for vanity metrics like open rate, bounce rate, and click-through rate. Instead, we’re focused on reporting metrics that matter – like the number of positive replies, meetings booked, and lead-to-close rates. We’re dedicated to delivering real results that are more than just email statistics.

But not all cold email agencies take this approach. In fact, most have a bias toward what conversion means. You’ve probably come across a few different types of agencies:

  • The ones that charge you based on the number of emails you send or contacts you have, regardless of results.
  • The ones that promise you the world for a monthly fee, but can never seem to deliver.
  • The ones that call anyone who downloads an ebook a “lead” and charge you accordingly.
  • The ones that charge based on the number of “qualified” leads they generate for you – but what even is a qualified lead?

If you’re a B2B company looking to sell to CFOs, why should you be charged for anything other than the number of appointments your sales team gets? What “conversion” means to your company should depend on your specific goals and needs.

That’s why Bold Red X takes an entirely different approach to reporting. The reason we feel comfortable doing that lies in our unique outreach methodology. Unlike the common “spray and pray” method employed by many agencies, we deploy a more strategic and targeted procedure. Rather than bombarding a large number of prospects with generic messages, we craft personalized messages that target a select group of highly qualified leads. By taking the extra time to research each prospect, we can cut through the noise and deliver a message that resonates with their specific needs and pain points. No mass emails here!

The reason why most agencies report on open rate and number of emails sent, is their deep-rooted belief that “sales is a numbers game”. While most agencies out there are preoccupied with sending as many emails as humanly possible, the truly savvy ones understand the value of ultra-targeted leads and hyper-personalization in their email marketing strategy.

Sure, blasting out thousands of emails might get you more deals, but at what cost? Your reputation? Your relationship with potential clients? Your own sanity? Your precious time, energy, and resources are better spent doing your homework on the market and finding ultra-targeted leads with buyer intent. And let’s not forget about crafting the perfect message that speaks directly to each prospect’s unique pain points. It’s no easy feat, but it’s the only way to ensure that your emails are effective and worth the time and effort you put in.

Unfortunately, most agencies out there don’t have what it takes to go that extra mile. They’re content with sending out generic messages to whoever happens to be in their database, hoping that something will stick. That’s why they end up sending hundreds, if not thousands, of emails every single day. And that’s why they think that the number of emails sent and the open rate are the only important metrics to report on.

Proof That Quality Always Trumps Quantity: A Case Study

Recently, we launched a lead generation campaign for an app development client. Rather than spamming the inboxes of anyone with a pulse, we put in the effort to research the market and identify 56 ultra-targeted leads. And when we say “ultra-targeted”, we mean these were the crème de la crème of prospects – the ones with clear buyer intent data, who were most likely to be interested in our client’s services.

But we didn’t just stop there. Oh no, we went above and beyond. We handcrafted personalized messages for each and every one of these 56 leads, taking the time to understand their pain points and interests. And the results speak for themselves.

Thanks to our ultra-precise targeting and intricate personalization, we landed a whopping 22 meetings for our client. That’s right, 22 meetings from a list of just 56 prospects. And not only that, but we closed $400K in deals from this small list. Talk about efficiency.

And let’s not forget, we pulled off this feat in a highly competitive industry. But with the right personalization and messaging, we managed to stand out in those cluttered inboxes and make a real impact. So the next time you’re tempted to take the easy route and blast out a generic email to the masses, remember our little case study here. It’s not about throwing as much mud at the wall as possible – it’s about finding the right mud and molding it to fit your target’s every need.

Our multi-channel approach sets us on a different level. Our team excels in creating hand-crafted cold emails that stand out from the crowd, while also using LinkedIn to establish meaningful relationships with potential clients. And if initial interest starts to fizzle out, we’re tenacious in our follow-up efforts. We’ll use email, LinkedIn, and even warm calls to ensure that we’re exhausting every possible avenue to engage with your prospects.

We’re not like other agencies that just take your money and send out a set number of emails. We don’t measure our success solely by the number of emails sent or calls made; our commitment to real value and delivering meaningful outcomes sets us apart. We genuinely care about your success and will go the extra mile to help you achieve it.

Problem #3: Personalization

Personalization is key in today’s marketing world. Unfortunately, many agencies fall into the trap of automation, sending out the same repetitive message to thousands of prospects. We’ve all received those emails or LinkedIn messages and recognized that it’s a canned message sent to hundreds of other people. Ignoring them is the natural reaction because we know it’s spammy.

Prospects are savvier than ever before; they can spot automated messages from a mile away, and you can bet it won’t lead to a response. It’s time to ditch the bots and get creative.

Try this – challenge yourself to send 100 personalized LinkedIn messages and watch your response rate soar. If you’re struggling, try to find common ground with the recipient, customize your message to their interests, or mention something that caught your eye on their profile. Remember, every message should sound like it’s coming from a real person and not an automated robot.

We all have an “automation filter,” and if they sense your message is canned, your chances of getting a response will drop like a rock. So, spice up your outreach and ditch the bots to see real results.

Here are some examples of Bold Red X’s Personalization:

  • Emily, Just read your blog post on the impact of AI in the healthcare industry. Your insights about AI’s potential to revolutionize diagnostics truly struck a chord with me.
  • Michael, your recent seminar on growth hacking strategies was enlightening. I particularly liked your practical tips on leveraging data analytics to identify growth opportunities and optimize marketing campaigns.
  • Hey Alex, I recently came across your blog post on the power of storytelling in brand marketing. I really liked how you highlighted the emotional connection that stories can create with customers, and I completely agree that it can significantly impact brand loyalty.
  • Hey Lisa, I saw your tweet about the importance of continuous learning in personal growth. I couldn’t agree more with your statement that learning should be a lifelong journey, and I appreciate the resources you shared to support that idea.

Real human connection is within grasp with our personalized messaging. From the first outreach and all trough multiple follow-ups, we bring the balance of personable engagement.

How do we achieve this balance? We use the CCQ formula – that’s Commonalities, Compliments, and Questions – to craft messages that resonate with real people.

Sure, it takes a little time to research and write for each and every prospect on your list. But it’s a proven method for dramatically increasing your reply rate, and ultimately, your bottom line.

In an effort to spark inspiration, here are a few more samples we’ve sent along in the past:

  • “Noticed you’re a coffee enthusiast. As a fellow coffee lover who’ll be soon visiting Los Angeles for the first time, I’d love to hear your recommendations for the best local coffee shops.
  • “Hey Brianna, I saw on your LinkedIn that you recently traveled to Japan. I’m planning a trip there myself and would appreciate any insider tips or must-visit places you can share.”

  • “Hey Sarah, your insightful LinkedIn post about the future of sustainable fashion caught my attention. I completely agree with your view that embracing eco-friendly practices is not only necessary for the planet but also presents a significant market opportunity.”
  • “Hey Jack, I noticed from your bio that you’re a foodie. I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting restaurants to try. Do you have any hidden gems you’d recommend in New Jersey?”
  • “Really enjoyed your Ted Talk, your viewpoints on how AI can be utilized for business growth are truly enlightening.”

Don’t have cookie-cutter communication, start building real relationships.

But researching prospects and tailoring unique individualized messages are not the only important aspects of personalization. There’s a myriad of other little details that can make or break a successful cold email campaign. In our opinion, these are the biggest two:

  • Assuming that all prospects are active on LinkedIn.
  • Using too much automation in the outreach process.

Assuming that all prospects are active on LinkedIn:

Not all prospects are active on LinkedIn. Assuming so can be a costly mistake, leaving as much as 40% of your list to rot. We’re here to tell you, there’s a better way.

According to DemandSage, As of March 2021, 51.5% of LinkedIn users in the United States were inactive.

It’s challenging to know which users are active and which aren’t, but we do. Through a careful balance of automation and personalization, we help ensure that your messages are only sent to those who are actually there to receive them. No more wasted opportunities, no more cryin’ crickets.

How do we do it? By taking a closer look at each and every prospect on your list, if they haven’t been active in the last month, and they aren’t already connected to someone you know, we take them off the list. This not only saves you time and money, but ensures that your invites reach the most engaged and valuable prospects.

Too much automation:

In the era of automation, AI tools are all the rage when it comes to streamlining business processes. One area where they’ve gained traction is cold email outreach. While these tools may seem convenient, when it comes to cold email outreach, relying solely on these tools can lead to inaccuracies and a lack of personalization. While others may automate, at Bold Red X, we think outside the (in)box and prioritize quality over quantity by taking a manual approach to this crucial task.

The pitfalls of AI tools:
  • Inaccurate information:  AI-generated content may draw incorrect conclusions based on limited or incomplete data, leading to misguided assumptions about the recipient’s needs and preferences. Trust us, you don’t want to damage your credibility with inaccurate information. We tested one of these AI tools and it mistakenly claimed we specialize in generating leads through paid advertising when our actual forte lies in generating leads via cold emails and LinkedIn outreach. Whoops! Let’s stick with humans for accuracy, shall we?
  • Lack of true personalization: While AI tools can insert a recipient’s name or company name, they often fall short when it comes to providing a truly tailored message that speaks to the recipient’s unique pain points and aspirations.

"Dear Automation, It's Not You, It's Us: Why Manual Cold Email Outreach Reigns Supreme"

At Bold Red X, we prioritize quality over quantity by manually researching each prospect and creating highly personalized messages tailored specifically to the recipient’s needs and objectives.

Advantages of our Manual Approach:
  • Accuracy and relevance:  Our approach ensures that every message resonates with the recipient and addresses their unique challenges and goals. This attention to detail establishes trust and credibility from the get-go.
  • Genuine connection: Our personalized approach enables us to forge a genuine connection with the recipient. By showing empathy and understanding, we increase the likelihood of a positive response and further engagement.

Problem #4: Tacky Sales Pitches

Tired of getting bombarded with sales pitches on LinkedIn? Us too.

We’ve seen lots of our competitors go straight for the pitch, and let’s be honest, it’s not effective. People want personalization and a genuine conversation, not a canned sales pitch.

Why waste time with generic messages that add zero value to your prospect? Instead, we focus on addressing their pain points and offering unique solutions. No slimy sales tactics here.

And don’t even get us started on the importance of personalization. It’s not just about using their first name – it’s about showcasing your understanding of their specific needs and challenges.

The next time you’re crafting your outreach message, remember the golden rule: “Talk about the prospect 90% of the time and only 10% about yourself, just to add context.”

Picture this...

Imagine you have a list of 100 perfect prospects. Now, ask yourself: How many of them are actively seeking your product or service? And furthermore, how many want to make a purchase right now?

Let’s be real, even if your list is impeccable, it’s highly unlikely that more than 5% of them will be ready for a purchase this week. The remaining 95% will likely regard your outreach as mere spam. It’s not a favorable ratio and if you’re familiar with open and response rates, you’d see how these odds are highly unlikely to yield you any profit.

To make any money, you will have to reach out to 1000 people (or even more) each week, which means 200+ people every business day! Well, good luck with that if you’re using LinkedIn, they simply will never let you get away with this volume of activity!

At Bold Red X, we kick things off differently.

We spark a conversation about a common pain point your prospects may face instead of hitting them with a pitch. This approach not only feels helpful instead of aggressive, but it also makes them happy to respond.

Take this example message that really works wonders:

“Hello {firstName}, {custom Intro}!

I noticed that you’re handling {specific project responsibility} for {type_of_client}, and I’m curious about how you’re tackling {current pain point}. My company has been working on innovative ways to handle {unique benefit} for {customer_type}, and I’d love to trade ideas with you around {pain point}.

What do you say we brainstorm this on Thursday or Friday? Can’t wait!”

Problem #5: Long Contracts

Lead generation agencies can be a headache, locking you into long-term contracts without any guarantees. You know the drill – sign up for 3 or 6 months and cross your fingers that they’ll actually deliver results. But let’s be real, it just gives them more flexibility. They can take your money and not even sweat it.

That’s not how we do things. We’re committed to delivering results that keep you coming back for more.

There’s no denying that lead generation takes time, but that doesn’t mean you have to sign your life away. At Bold Red X, we believe in the power of a flexible, results-first approach. We don’t tie you down to long-term commitments or leave you out to dry.

With us, you’ll have total control over your lead generation strategy, and we’ll collaborate with you every step of the way to deliver the tangible, measurable results you deserve. No more meaningless contracts, no more empty promises. Just creative, professional, and witty solutions that get the job done.

Now, With the problems laid bare before us...

After analyzing the data, the gaps have revealed themselves to us in all their glory. And now that we know exactly what we’re dealing with, let’s close those holes and get back on track.

The ultimate gap fixers: Bold Red X’s exceptional solutions

Solution #1: Research

At Bold Red X, we don’t just dabble in list-building and prospect research. We obsess over it. And we don’t rely solely on LinkedIn Sales Navigator. We use all channels to find the perfect prospects for your business.

When you sign up for a campaign with us, we start with a deep dive into your business through a detailed marketing survey and a one-hour kick-off call. This helps us understand who your best clients are, what your elevator pitch sounds like, and what makes you unique. Not only does this help us create a targeted list of prospects, but it also provides valuable insights that even our clients themselves may not have known.

We focus on three customer segments to avoid slowing down the campaign. Within each segment, we analyze your best clients to find patterns and insights. (Think: Facebook fans, podcast appearances, hiring trends, funding rounds, and more!)

By deep diving into your current paying customers, we can build a list of look-a-like clients.

But we don’t stop there.

We send each list to our clients for feedback and refinement. We’re not perfect, but each version of the list is more accurate than the last. Why? Because we don’t want you to waste time or money on ineffective campaigns.

Solution #2: Focusing on Metrics That Matter

Don’t settle for shallow metrics like open rates and clickthrough rates in your cold email campaigns! It’s time to redefine what really matters. At Bold Red X, we focus on metrics that drive meaningful marketing outcomes and business growth, Here’s how you can do the same:

  • Reframe the importance of open rate: While it’s important to monitor engagement with your cold emails, don’t make open rate the end-all-be-all. Use it as a diagnostic metric to improve your subject lines, timing, and personalization.
  • Focus on metrics aligned with marketing outcomes: How about measuring the number of positive replies, meetings booked, or lead-to-close rate? These metrics give a clearer indication of your campaign’s effectiveness in generating leads and driving conversions.
  • Customize metrics based on business type: Tailor your metrics to the specific objectives of each business you work with. For example, if your client’s goal is to increase the number of guest posts their team gets per month, focus on the number of positive replies they get, and the number of mentions they’re getting from high-domain authority websites. If your client is selling a B2B service, prioritize the number of sales meetings booked.
  • Continuously improve and collaborate: Work with your clients to identify success factors, and optimization opportunities, and develop more effective cold email campaigns over time. Through open communication and a data-driven feedback loop, your agency can adapt its strategies and tactics to achieve better results.

With a focus on meaningful metrics and collaboration, you can achieve true success and business growth with your cold email campaigns.

Solution #3: Personalized Copy

To effectively capture the attention of your best prospects, Bold Red X employs a strategic approach to outreach copywriting and personalization. Here’s how we ensure that your message stands out and resonates with your target audience:

1. Find Your Selling Points: To start, we dig deep into what makes your product or service unique. We figure out your key selling points and gather impressive stats and facts that prove you’re the best.

2. Anticipate Objections: Nobody likes rejection, especially when you’re reaching out to potential customers. But at Bold Red X, we’ve got your back. By working with you to identify common objections, we can create follow-up strategies that keep those pesky no’s at bay and turn them into resounding yes’s!

3. Craft Your Messages: Using all that juicy info we gathered in the first step, we start crafting a compelling message that lets your audience know they’re in good hands. Our message drafts are like finely-tuned machines. They grab attention, deliver your value proposition, and keep things simple – no fluff or complications here!

4. Get Your Approval: Before we hit the send button, we make sure you’re happy with the message. After all, you know your brand best! We listen to your feedback and make any necessary adjustments, so the message sounds like it’s coming straight from you.

5. Use Our Knowledge and Experience: At Bold Red X, we’ve got years of experience in B2B marketing, and we use that expertise to refine our approach and create top-notch outreach strategies that get results. You’re in good hands with our team!

6. Personalize, Personalize, Personalize: We’re not just sending out generic messages to everyone on your contact list. Our team takes the time to research each prospect and add personalized touches to every message. By connecting with your audience on a personal level, we set the stage for engagement and positive responses.

In short, we know how to craft messages that speak directly to your prospects’ needs, address their objections, and highlight your unique value proposition.

Solution #4: Value-Based Outreach

"Ditch The Sleazy Pitch"

Even though, at Bold Red X, we send a much lower volume of outreach than most competitors, We end up getting a much higher response rate.

The Secret? Research, personalization, and genuine conversation. Here’s how to do it:

  • Know your prospect: Before reaching out, research their profile, company, and industry to discover pain points and ways your product or service can provide value.

  • Personalize your intro: Address the prospect by name, mention a detail from their profile or recent activity, and show you’ve taken the time to understand their background.

  • Address their pain points: Acknowledge a challenge they may be facing and highlight your knowledge of their involvement in a specific project or responsibility.

  • Share your unique value: Briefly introduce your company and the unique solution or benefit you provide that aligns with their pain point.

  • Show interest in their experience: Ask about their current approach to the pain point and demonstrate that you’re genuinely interested in exchanging ideas and experiences.

  • Propose a conversation: Suggest a specific time to connect and discuss further, offering flexibility and increasing the chances of finding a mutually convenient time.

By following this approach, you’ll create a personalized, value-driven message that opens the door for meaningful conversations. And remember to keep a genuine and helpful tone throughout your interactions. Customize this solution to fit your industry, product, and audience, and regularly evaluate and adjust your strategy based on feedback and results.
